Sarah’s journey as a media graduate and entrepreneur with the DAFI Programme

Sarah’s journey is a shining example of persistence and determination. With an exceptional high school average and achieving the fourth rank in Jordan, Sarah was on the path to realising her dream of becoming a news reporter. However, financial difficulties nearly derailed her progress. The DAFI scholarship became her guiding star, enabling her to pursue a B.A. in Media and Mass Communication at Zarqa University.

But Sarah’s ambitions went beyond academics. Despite her father’s health challenges, she started a small home-based chocolate business. Using the entrepreneurial skills she gained from various DAFI programme activities and training courses, her business quickly flourished. Drawing on her knowledge from her university studies, Sarah skilfully developed her business’s social media platforms, attracting over 98,000 followers.

Recently, Sarah took her business to the next level by opening a chocolate shop, transforming her passion into a thriving enterprise. Throughout her entrepreneurial journey, Sarah’s academic performance remained exemplary, and she proudly kept her place on the honour roll. As she celebrates the opening of her shop, Sarah reflects on her transformation from a dream-filled girl to a successful media graduate and entrepreneur. Her dream of appearing on television is now within reach, and her delicious creations have brought joy to countless people.
